Tornister Lexicon (Pocket survival manual)

This is a reprint of the German Army survival pocket book, issued to troops in 1943. In German it covers everything needed to be known about survival - getting water, making fires, cooking, butchery, camouflage, protection from the weather, and even how to build igloos and sleds for winter warfare. It is a fascinating book for all who are interested in survival, especially in military situations. Although in German, the diagrams are self-explanatory. In addition there is a section at the end which deals with standards, conversions and times which would have been valuable knowledge for the soldier in the field.
